The Beginning

ClusterHelp.com was created because there just was not a good source for training on Windows Server 2003 and High Availability. Along with the lack of training came a lack of top quality consulting in Windows based high availability implementations.

The company was founded by Russ Kaufmann and Rodney R. Fournier in 2003.

Russ and Rod have very similar backgrounds in IT with both of them having worked in IT for over 20 years, both have held the Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) certification since 1996, and both have held the MCSE certification since NT 3.5. Russ and Rod also have the distinction of being awarded the Microsoft MVP in Windows Clustering for multiple years starting in 2004. Over the years, both Rod and Russ have been presented sessions at Tech Ed, MCTCon, TechMentor, the Worldwide Partnering Conference, and assorted other industry conferences. Both Russ and Rod have written materials for inclusion to multiple books, and both have written articles for industry magazines.

Today, we are engaging more and more partners, and are adding resources to our organization to expand and meet the needs of the industry.

The Future

We plan to continue doing business as normal. That means, we will continue working around the world (we have worked with clients from 32 different countries) and will continue to be present in the community at large.  The current plan is to finish porting all of our training materials over to Windows Server 2008 and developing new methodologies and best practices based on new experiences.

Of course, the future could mean that we are bought out, but let’s hope not. J
